Intensive Outpatient Programs for Kids & Teens with Mood & Behavior Problems

The best way to address problematic behavior is at its onset. However, when behavioral problems become an ongoing challenge, intensive interventions have the best outcomes. Our programs focus on individual and family therapy, fostering motivation and friendship building skills to bring our patients back to normal levels of functioning.

Because they’re still growing and maturing, the skills our young patients are taught become almost second nature. When they are faced with stressors later in life, they are better able to utilize the skills they learned in therapy as youngsters to regulate themselves.

Kids and teens with severe behavioral problems, mood instability, problems with frustration tolerance, impulse control, and or attentional problems are frequently later diagnosed with bipolar disorder, or another mental illness. These troubled kids and teens often have problematic relationships with spouses, employers, engage in addictive behaviors and have difficulty leading meaningful and successful lives. Our programs stop this deteriorating cycle by offering support and corrective interventions for the entire system.

Our Intensive Outpatient Programs provide:

  • Individualized assessment and treatment planning
  • Frequent therapy sessions that allow for practicing change
  • Socialization Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral Treatments
  • Home visits and Family Therapy
  • Support to obtain optimum services from the school

As a parent you are naturally concerned for the wellbeing of your child and the steps you can take to provide a bright and meaningful future. Do not hesitate to call our clinic for a consultation.
